The Mavericks Water Polo Club would like to congratulate our Head Coach, Bogdan Dubrovskiy, on a historic and unforgettable season.  Bogdan stepped into the role of Head Coach during second half of the 2021-2022 season and brought a recharged and renewed vision for the Mavericks. During this same time, Bogdan was completing his Masters degree and beginning his brand new Chiropractic practice.

For the 2023-2024 season, Bogdan has decided to step away from the Head Coach role and assume the role of High Performance Director with Mavericks. This role interfaces well with the many initiatives Bogdan brought to the club over the last two seasons. Under Bogdan’s leadership, Mavericks had three 17U teams qualify for National Finals in 2023 (two men’s and one women’s), we had six athletes selected to the Youth National Team program and compete with Team Canada in Bauru, Brazil (three men and three women) and over twenty athletes selected to the Team Ontario provincial program in Montréal for 2023.

With Bogdan’s guidance Mavericks also saw a return to increased community focused programming with a highly successful Toy Drive and Food Drive. Further, Bogdan led the initiatives for Mavericks to help fund our Youth National Athletes, giving families some much needed financial support so that they can continue to pursue their athletes’ water polo goals at the highest levels of competition.

The Mavericks Water Polo Club would like to thank Bogdan for his leadership and guidance during this transition period. We are excited to see what the new High Performance Director role will bring to our athletes! Congratulations Bogdan!
